My teaching spans modern European and international history, political thought and the study of contemporary Europe. Most of my teaching has been with students at UK universities, but I also have extensive experience teaching American and international students through US and study-abroad programmes in London. Across these different settings, I aim to connect historical study with contemporary questions, primary sources and practical forms of research and engagement.

SUPERVISION

I supervise undergraduate and postgraduate research in modern European and international history, particularly on Britain, Greece and Southeastern Europe; empire and internationalism; nationalism and the national question; humanitarianism and intervention; and the history of international politics broadly construed.

PAST TEACHING

I have previously taught at Queen Mary University of London, UCL, the LSE, the University of Edinburgh, Anglia Ruskin, Panteion University and the Hellenic Open University, across subjects including European history, political thought, international history, human rights and historical research methods.
